Christmas Tree Planting 2020 – The Fylde Sand Dunes Project (5th Feb)

Event Date: 05/02/2020

Tuesday 4th – Thursday 6th February

10am – 3pm

North Beach Car Park, Clifton Drive North, St Anne’s, Lancashire, FY8 2TR

Bring your old Christmas trees to this planting event to help stabilise the sand dunes on the Fylde coast. You can go along any time between 10am and 3pm on Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th or Thursday 6th February.

The event is organised by the Fylde Sand Dunes project, a partnership project between Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Fylde Council, Blackpool Council and the Environment Agency.

Anyone is welcome, and there will be various jobs to do on the day including digging trenches, partially burying the trees, and cutting branches to use as thatching for chestnut paling fencing.

All equipment and light refreshments will be provided. You will need to wear sturdy footwear and warm clothing, and taking a mug or cup with you for a drink will be appreciated to reduce the number of paper compostable cups used.
