Throughout the duration of the flood resilience work taking place in Keswick, there will be drop in sessions taking place at Keswick Library between 10am and 12noon every other Tuesday (starting Tuesday 14th Jan in 2020). These will provide updates on the scheme to residents and businesses, and provide them with an opportunity to ask questions.
The flood resilience works involves the construction of a new flood storage basin at Springs Field and a new pumping station underneath Penrith Road which will discharge into the River Greta. Cumbria County Council, the Environment Agency and Keswick Flood Action Group are investing approximately £2m in the works.
