The British Hydrological Society (BHS) is holding a national meeting on natural flood management (NFM) to present key findings from previous and ongoing science, and to highlight where further research is needed. Researchers, practitioners in government or private sector, flood action groups, environmental organisations and farmers implementing NFM are all welcome.

Participation and open debate is encouraged to increase discussion around NFM interventions, with attendees having the option to bring a poster on their NFM research or implementation for discussion.

Throughout the day there will be various activities, and speakers from the Environment Agency and different universities. There will also be the option to join a free field day in Cumbria the following day to continue discussions whilst looking at flood-affected sites with NFM interventions and/or monitoring.

Registration deadline: 10th April 2019
