The North West Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC) brings together the authorities who have a role in managing flooding and coastal change across the region.
The RFCC is refreshing its business plan to ensure its priorities consider the National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Strategy and the central concept of resilience in a changing climate.
The RFCC would welcome your views on what you feel is most important and what issues should be prioritised.

The RFCC does not itself carry out flood risk management work such as building flood defences but it has statutory functions of overseeing how flooding and coastal change are managed, shaping and approving the investment programme, and ensuring its constituent partners work together effectively. It also has its own local source of income which it uses to part fund flooding and coastal risk management schemes (defences) and improving resilience in other ways. It’s existing business plan can be found here.
