From Monday 22nd – Friday 26th September, we are running our ‘Coastal Adaptation Focus Week’ from our social media accounts:
With climate change, the estimated total number of properties in areas at risk of flooding from rivers and the sea will increase from 2.4 million to around 3.1 million – a 27% increase between 2036 and 2069 (.gov.uk). This Focus Week will look at coastal change and raise awareness around what causes it, the impacts of a changing coastline and what we can all do to adapt to it.
We would greatly appreciate your support during this focus week by following @TheFloodHub to help promote what we can do to adapt to an increasing risk of coastal flooding and erosion.
