River Landscapes: Upper, Middle and Lower Course Part 1

This package is designed to support most GCSE examination boards, however, teachers must ensure they follow the requirements of their own exam board’s specification when delivering lessons.

These learning resources have been produced by The Flood Hub People for The Flood Hub.

This lesson explores how river processes shape the landforms found in the upper course of a river, and how the Bradshaw model can be used to show changes in a rivers characteristics as it travels downstream. The final part of the lesson concludes with the opportunity to practice answering GCSE-style questions.
