The Environment Agency have launched new flood warning services in Chorley, Bolton-by-Bowland, Poulton-le-Fylde, Ribchester, Chatburn, Cartmel and Cark

On 25 May 2022 six new flood warning services were launched in Chorley, Bolton-by-Bowland, Poulton-le-Fylde, Ribchester and Chatburn (Lancashire); and Cartmel and Cark (Cumbria).

This work is part of a national Environment Agency project to expand flood warnings to previously hard to reach communities.

Flood Warnings tell people about an imminent risk of flooding to their home or business and help people make informed decisions about how to respond. There are three types of warning – Flood Alert, Flood Warning and Severe Flood Warning.

Chorley

The Environment Agency have announced that they will be offering a new flood warning service to properties at risk of flooding from Black Brook at Chorley.

 

 

Bolton-by-Bowland

The Environment Agency have announced that they will be offering a new flood warning service to properties at risk of flooding from Skirden Beck and Kirk Beck at Bolton by Bowland.

 

 

Poulton-Le-Fylde

The Environment Agency have announced that they will be offering a new flood warning service to properties at risk of flooding from Horsebridge Dyke at Poulton-le-Fylde.

 

 

Ribchester

The Environment Agency have announced that they will be offering a new flood warning service to properties at risk of flooding from Boyces Brook and Duddel Brook at Ribchester.

 

 

Chatburn

The Environment Agency have announced that they will be offering a new flood warning service to properties at risk of flooding from Heys Brook at Chatburn.

 

 

Cartmel and Cark

The Environment Agency have announced that they will be offering a new flood warning service to properties at risk of flooding from the River Eea at Cartmel and Cark.
