This lesson shows how the river and landscape changes from where it starts (the source) to where it ends at a lake or the sea (the mouth). Rivers can be split into three main sections, the upper, middle and lower courses, which all have differing landscapes and landforms, which is outlined in this lesson. The lesson also introduces both the natural and man-made factors which can affect the flow of a river.
