The Environment Agency is delivering a Flood Risk Management Scheme to better protect homes, schools, and businesses along sections of the River Ribble and River Darwen. The Scheme will also deliver improvements to the local environment and community amenities.
As of March 2026, the Environment Agency will no longer be updating the P&SR Flood Risk Management Scheme web pages. You can all get the latest updates on construction, road closures and diversions sent direct to your phone — use the QR code or download the VolkerStevin Engage App from your App Store. It only takes a few minutes to sign up and it’s free.
