Works will be carried out in small sections, to minimise the impact on properties, and excavated areas will be reinstated as the contractors progress along the road.
Access and parking will be maintained as far as possible, but it may impact some properties for a short period of time. Traffic management will be in place, including temporary traffic lights.
August 2022
Area 1: Broadgate & Riverside, Preston
Work has started on the United Utilities’ sewer that runs along Broadgate up to Penwortham Old Bridge, close to the existing flood wall. Work is being carried out by our sub-contractor, who are lining and strengthening the existing sewer prior to work starting on the flood defences. This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-September.
Electricity North West will begin diverting cables once the sewer work is complete. This task should be finished by the end of October.
